SVETOSLAV KOSEV “GRAPHICS WITH AUGMENTED REALITY”

On February 3, 2022 in Hall 2 of Dobrich Art Gallery with a vernissage from 16:00 to 18:00 will be presented an exhibition “GRAPHICS WITH AUGMENTED REALITY” by Svetoslav Kosev.

The exhibition in Dobrich includes works from two separate projects realized in 2021 in Sofia and Varna.

“The peculiarity of this exhibition is that we leave the zone of the two-dimensional and transfer into the three-dimensional space. This will allow the audience to get an impression of the same object in a different visual form. “/ St. Kosev /

The overall impact on the viewer is possible thanks to the partnership of Svetoslav Kosev with two colleagues and friends – Atanas Markov and Simeon Zhelev. A few years ago they found the art group Co-Interaction, which focuses on projects involving the use of classical art forms and high-tech tools.

The first project is implemented in Sofia under the name “Interaction with imaginary reality” and includes interactive installations “Interactive-generative formations”, “Interaction with a technological organism” and a series of 10 graphic works accompanied by augmented reality. Some of these 10 works are included in the exhibition at Dobrich Art Gallery.

The year 2021 marks the 700th anniversary of the death of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri and the anniversary was celebrated with various cultural events around the world. The exhibition includes graphics inspired by Dante’s immortal work “Divine Comedy” – 16 lithographs dedicated to songs from “Inferno”, “Purgatory” and “Paradise”.

Svetoslav Kosev is the author of the graphic and conceptual part of the projects, the technical and technological part is realized by Atanas Markov who is also the author of the augmented reality application, and Simeon Zhelev develops calligraphy that viewers will be able to see in the artworks of the “Divine comedy” cycle. Each of the works can be seen in two states – real, in two-dimensional graphic prints, and virtual, which can be seen through a special application via smartphone or tablet: http://www.co-interaction.com/co-interaction/app/
