On May 8, 2025 (Thursday) at 17:30 Dobrich Art Gallery presents the “Viva Poster” exhibition of our colleague and long-time employee of the gallery – the artist Nasko Atanasov. The large-scale exhibition, located in two of the gallery’s halls, includes posters, cartoons and designs for trademarks created during his long and dynamic creative journey.
Nasko Atanasov was born on February 25, 1955 in Dobrich.
In 1974 he graduated from the Construction Technical School in the town of Dobrich, majoring in “Geodesy and Cartography”. Since 1976 he has been working as an artist/ windows dresser at the RSU – Dobrich. Since 1988 works as an applied graphic artist.
Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, “Graphic Design” section (1997) and of the Society of Dobrich Artists.
He works in the field of graphic design, cartoons and trademark. In his creative biography, he has dozens of participations in regional, national, personal and collective exhibitions, international biennials and poster and cartoon exhibitions in Mexico, Russia, Portugal, Italy, South Korea, France, Czech Republic. He is the winner of numerous national awards and international recognitions. In 2022, he receives the prestigious Dimitrovgrad Municipality Award for Bulgarian Artist from the X International Triennial of the Stage Poster – Sofia.
On the occasion of the exhibition and the 70th anniversary of Nasko Atanasov, a catalog was also published, summarizing the variety of themes and subjects that have provoked the artist over the years. Public, cultural and political events, social and environmental problems, theatrical productions, exhibitions – every aspect of life serves as a starting point for his inspiration.
